Triune provides early assessment and on-going case management of employees eligible for compensation benefits due to an injury or illness absence. The case management process is initiated as soon as the absence claim or lost time claim is reported to Triune and continues until the client has resumed their own occupation, a permanent accommodated position or transitions to a long term disability plan.
The employer or employee is asked to notify Triune immediately or within 72 hours of the date of loss as early intervention promotes a more cost effective and aggressive return-to-work program. Your telephonic case manager will assess the employee’s diagnosis, care plan and return-to-work goals. Triune promotes a multi-disciplinary approach to disability management; therefore, the case manager will maintain ongoing contact with the client, his/her physician and the employer as part of our holistic health and wellness model.
Our absence management program is customized to reflect the needs and expectations of your company. We utilize nationally published (Medical Disability Advisor) guidelines that provide objective return-to-work criteria. We may also recommend the use of a medical consultant and will coordinate a second medical opinion as needed to assist in the achievement of return-to-work goals. Our Triune telephonic case manager also coordinates the employee’s return to work. The disability / absence case manager works with the employee, the immediate supervisor at the employer site and the treating physician to develop and implement a comprehensive Return to Work Plan. The Triune nurse case managers are experienced in achieving timely return-to-work releases as soon as clinically indicated. An on site employer based TCM model can also be implemented in place of our Telephonic Case Management Call Center located in Oakbrook, IL.
- STD / LTD / WC Intake / Case Referral - Triune can receive a new referral, track a case, and can manage any type of absence, including Sick Time, Workers Compensation, Paid Time Off, and STD/LTD claims. A claim can be reported easily via the internet, in addition to fax and phone.
- STD/LTD Medical Management Administration - Triune can provide absence tracking, on line web based claim reporting, and payment preparation; required to process disability claims for STD and LTD benefit programs.
- Return to Work Coordination - Triune telephonic case managers develop and implement a timely return to work plan for the employers through early intervention activities with the employee, the immediate supervisor, and the treating physician.
